Camping

A Camping Permit is required to camp on a Vacant Lot in Lake Sherwood and is restricted to camping use by the Lot owner(s). When a Camping Permit is obtained for a Vacant Lot, the Lot is considered a Camping Lot.  Camping on a Lot containing a Single Family Residential Dwelling does not require a Camping Permit.

The Town of Rome requires Camping Permits.  These permits must be obtained and will be accepted in lieu of Association Camping Permit(s) and adherence to the Lake Sherwood Property Owners Association Camping Regulations and Conditions, unless outstanding fines from Lake Sherwood Covenants and Protective Restrictions or Lake Sherwood Property Owners Association Camping Regulations and Conditions are outstanding.

Adherence to Town of Rome camping regulations and restrictions and Lake Sherwood Covenants and Protective Restrictions is required.  Below are links to the Town of Rome website where Town of Rome Camping Regulations and a Town of Rome Camping Permit Application can be found and to the Lake Sherwood Covenants and Protective Restrictions where additional camping regulations can be found.

Lake Sherwood Covenants and Protective Restrictions

If outstanding fines from Lake Sherwood Covenants and Protective Restrictions or Lake Sherwood Property Owners Association Camping Regulations and Conditions are outstanding, a Town of Rome Camping Permit will not be accepted and camping on the Lot will be considered a Lake Sherwood Covenants and Protective Restrictions infringement and subject to fines indicated in #17 of the Lake Sherwood Covenants and Protective Restrictions.

In the event that the Town of Rome no longer requires Camping Permits and has no regulations on camping, the following LSPOA Camping Regulations and Conditions will become effective in addition to the Lake Sherwood Covenants and Protective Restrictions:   LSPOA Camping Regulations & Conditions
