Community

The Town of Rome is located in the northwest corner of Adams County. Rome was created in 1857, and is the largest town in Adams County which covers 54 square miles, and has a population of over 2700 people.

 

Rome currently has:

 

  • Three man-made lakes; Lake Camelot, Lake Sherwood, and Lake Arrowhead. The Town also borders Lake Petenwell which is the second largest lake in Wisconsin.

  • Two golf courses; Lake Arrowhead - The Pines and The Lake; with another world class course, Sand Valley, under construction.

  • Dyracuse Recreational area is a 334 acre motorcycle and ATV park with over ten miles of trails, a pee-wee track, and two motocross tracks. 

  • The Wisconsin Trapshooting Association Shooting Complex with adjoining Homegrounds RV Park

  • Acres of public hunting land.

 

With the many recreational opportunities available in Rome like fishing, boating, hunting, snowmobiling, water skiing, ATV riding, golfing, trapshooting, and camping, Rome is truly an all-season recreational area.
